Blood-thinning onion soup

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of butter/olive oil mix
  • 4 large Vidalia onions, chopped
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 3 cups vegetable/beef stock
  • 1-3 tsp lemon juice
  • black pepper
  • 1/4- 1/2 cup green onions

Preparation:

  1. Heat butter/olive oil mix in a large pot
  2. Add onions and cook on medium for 20-30 min until soft and pale golden. Stir frequently.
  3. Add wine and cook till liquid is nearly evaporated 5-10 min
  4. Add stock, bring to boil, simmer for about 5 min
  5. Spice to taste with lemon juice and black pepper
